Orchid and Wild Flower Walks

Every Wednesday throughout March and April there will be a wild orchid and flower walk (weather permitting) from the centre of Hisarkoy. Start time is 10am and it is free to join the walk. The walk will take around 2 and a half hours, over hilly ground. For more information, please call Tony Hutchinson on 0542 854 4329. Tony is a registered, fully licensed tourist guide and member of the TRNC guiding association.

7th April - Fun Run from Chateau Lambousa 

5km Fun Run to raise funds for SPOT and KUSKOR. Saturday 7th April 2012. Starts at 11am but runners should arrive an hour before to register. School children no charge, adullts 15tl, which goes to the two charities shown above. For more information please call 0533 8630425. Everyone welcome. The event is being run along side Tulips easter fete, come and enjoy yourselves for the day.

7th April - Tulips Easter Fete at Chateau Lambousa

The cancer charity Easter fete is being held at Chateau Lambousa in Lapta on 7th April 2012, from 11am. The day is aimed at all ages, with various games, stalls and competitions. There will be an Easter egg hunt, Easter bonnet competition, best cake competition, eggs in a jar competition and name the bunny competition, as well as various game stalls such as skittles, darts, whack a rat, apple bobbing and Play Your Cards Right. There will also be various races for adults and children, including a traditional egg and spoon race, sack race, tug-of-war, tractor pull, wheelbarrow race and 3-legged race for children ages 6 - 14 years and then the adults get to have a go! There will also be bands, dancers and various other attractions on the day. All monies raised go towards helping people with cancer, so if you are going to be in North Cyprus for Easter, then this is a fun day out for all the family for a cause well worth supporting.

7th April Piano Recital and Dance at Bellapais Abbey

The piano recital will feature music from composers such as Brahms, Chopin, Gershwin, Mozart, Bach and Beethoven that are all well known popular classical works. A new dimension to the event is the addition of 4 young modern ballet dancers who will perform on stage during some of the programme. Entrance to the concert will by a 30tl Invitation Card which will be available from the KAR Office, KAR table at Lambousa Saturday market, Café Dukkan in Girne and the Bellapais Abbey Entrance. 28th April - The Bohemians Live Concert

The Bohemians (Queen Tribute Band) are back this April with a concert at the Girne Ampitheatre. Tickets will be on sale very soon.
